The exhibition, with around 90 works from the collection of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, in Madrid, shows the influence of Picasso on Spanish modern art and his relation with the masters of this art form, like Gris, Miró, Dalí, Domínguez and Tàpies, among other artists present in the exhibition.The exhibition shows Picasso’s evolution as an artist and a legend, up until the painting of Guernica, and his contributions to a notion of modernity focused on the present. 

Presented at the CCBB in São Paulo, which attracted over 235,000 people, and in Rio de Janeiro, which received 620,000 visitors, it was the most popular exhibition in the world featuring postimpressionist and modern art for the year 2015, according to a ranking by the journal The ArtNewspaper.
