The first of its kind in Latin America, the Vaccine Museum was inaugurated in March 2023 in the Science Park of the Butantan Institute. The place has more than 550m² and offers several immersive activities through the presentation of facts, explanation of concepts and curiosities about the universe of vaccines. Expomus was responsible for the conceptualization of the new museum and for the museological advice of its implementation.
This is the fifth museum of the Butantan Institute, which has been working with education, teaching and dissemination of knowledge since its foundation. In the long-term exhibition, the public can visualize the stages of conducting a scientific research of a vaccine, know the vaccine technological platforms, the functioning of the immune system and immune memory of the human body, the reaction of the vaccinated organism, among other interactive activities.
